Just back from overseas and the stopover in Hong Kong. It really is a fascinating place, I hadn't been before. Bought stuff from both Anthony
http://www.grandeye.com.hk/ and Peter
http://www.tan14.com/gears.htm . They don't have shopfronts but work from home and have low overheads and excellent prices on most of their high end equipment. Both are very nice people and I would recommend them if you were travelling there or order via post. I don't want to start another argument about supporting local vendors versus buying overseas. I live in Perth where the local vendor/s are few, have limited stock and reluctance to match prices in my experience. Again don't want to start an argument or ill feeling, I've seen it can be a very sensitive topic to some, just trying to be helpful and give feedback on the HK experience, particularly those who responded to my original post and helped me. Cheers guys
P.S. Apologies to Perth members as my new equipment is probably responsible for the miserable weather at the moment and the forecast for the next few days despite new moon pending. Frustrating.....
Happy if anyone wants to PM and find out more specifics, neither of the websites is great, they both have access and stock on other stuff too
