Pluto

Hi All,

Whilst trying to observe and record an occultation of the star 2UCAC 25152757 by Nix this morning I got some video of Pluto. Although the seeing was pretty lousy, this is a stacked version of about 20 minutes of 0.5 second frames.

See who can spot Pluto first!

Oh, and the occultation missed from my vantage point.

Cheers
Stuart

Is it this one?

Ok, I have to admit - I was watching this (non) event too!

What do I win?

Hi Stuart,

I observed a miss too from my vantage point in The Blue Mountains.

From what I've read, it would appear that about 20 observers attempted this event, from North Queensland to Christchurch and points further west, with everyone (so far) having negative results.

Just to dot the T's and cross the I's... have you submitted a report? The form is available here...
http://occsec.wellington.net.nz/

Bruno Sicardy (Paris Observatory) and John Talbot (RASNZ) would your report, at...

Hi Dave,

Couldn't find the form (easily), do you have a direct link.

Sent an email to Bruno the day after.

Cheers
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

See attached .zip.

John needs it in this format to populate the Occult asteroid editor.
