Full Moon rising

Hi all,

Here's a quick shot of the Full Moon from my deck this evening. The inset was testing my wife's little Cybershot compact camera for hand-held afocal shots. Not as sharp as my dSLR, but easier to fit the whole Moon in the field of view. The second image is my 7 year old son having a look at the Moon - another astronomer in the making .

Cheers,
Stephen.

Nice shots Stephen – what a lovely hobby to have at 7; he is sooo lucky that dad is an amateur astronomer!

Cheers

It's nice to get this little look into your life Stephen. Does your son show much interest in Astronomy or is it just an occasional thing.

It's more of an occasional thing at the moment, but he does like to look through the scope sometimes. He hasn't quite got the bug like me yet!

Cheers,
Stephen
