Mount won't stop slewing

My HEQ5Pro has developed a disturbing problem. I press the key to slew to the right, and it won't stop when I take my finger off the key. It keeps slewing then stops when it wishes. It does this in every direction.
Any thoughts? Experiences?
I'm going to reset the hand paddle to factory default. Maybe a purge will fix it up.

That did the trick.
The mount is working fine now.
Had a similar problem with the Mini Tower once and fixed it the same way.
Time to get stuck into it now.

Phew – that’s good news indeed! No need for the soldering iron eh!

Cheers

Both my heq5 and eq6 have done that at times, must be a software bug. I found a power reset fixed mine. The eq6 will sometimes just stop tracking and you have to turn it on manually? You get what ya pay for I guess

You'd do the same with your pc if it was starting to misbehave. A reboot will usually fix it, if it's really bad a format.
LOL pity it didn't fix my guiding problems too.

The mount for my C8N-GT did this on occasion. I would slew to something and it would keep going until it either hit the stop or I pressed an arrow key. A reboot would fix it. The CGE, however, hasn't done this...however it did get confused once when I put the Dec in the RA and the RA in the Dec.... Now that was confusing!
