One of our own, Jeanette, hits international big time!

Hello,

Jeanette (JJJ) had had an excellent and inspirational article published in the USA magazine, Astronomy Technology Today, “the world's leading astronomy equipment journal offering equipment reviews, new product and industry news announcements, how-to projects, observing tips, and much more”.

I downloaded the article from the Ioptron website.

Since our paths first crossed, I’ve been very, very impressed with JJJ’s enthusiasm and dedication to amateur astronomy. Being a busy mum, I suspect that family commitments severely limits JJJ’s time out under the stars, but she certainly inspires all of us, here on Ice In Space, with her constant stream of fabulous results, captured with quite modest equipment compared to the multi-$1000 rigs that others have.

“Aussie” Jeanette very eloquently writes about her astro photography journey which I’m certain will provide inspiration to all those that read it – top stuff!

Enjoy your success Jeanette, it is richly deserved and I cannot think of a nicer person to achieve this.

Cheers

Dennis

PS – apologies to Jeanette if I have caused her any embarrassment by “outing” her skills!

Thanks for this Dennis and well done Jeanette on an extremely well written article. You must feel very proud of your progression, your images reveal the work that you have put in and results achieved.

It is really tremendous to see Aussie amateurs receiving recognition on the international stage. I am sure your article will inspire others to try their hand at astro imaging and maybe it will encourage more members of the fairer sex to become involved in astronomy.

Very well done and congratulations on your article.

Regards
Trevor

Hi JJJ

Yes, it is truly well deserved and I agree with you Dennis "cannot think of a nicer person to achieve this".

You have pathed the way JJJ, and no doubt will encourage more women to get into area of astrophotograpy. For me, you are indeed an inspiration.

So well deserved. All the best.

Cheers Petra d.

@Jen

One for the girls hey.

It does feel good to be "published". Hard to believe actually.
Who would have thought they'd be interested in what I do?
It isn't a patch on what others have achieved here.

But I wouldn't have been able to get this far without the very supportive friends I've found here on IIS. How lucky am I to have all of you with me on this journey.
Thanks guys I appreciate it.
