Birubi Beach Sunset Panorama

I finally got around to finishing some more pictures from our Birubi Beach christmas holidays! (Yes, it’s been that long!)

In this set, I feature some beautiful sunset photos taken on December 30th, 2008. Living on the East coast, I never get to see the Sun setting over the ocean. But due to the curving around of the headland, at Birubi Beach in summer it is possible!

Jacob and I went down to the beach to watch and photograph the Sunset - him with my old Sony Cybershot, and me with my Canon 350D. It was great spending the time together, wandering the coastline and climbing over the rocks, looking for the perfect shot.

Thanks for looking.

Mike,

Fantastic photographs!

The second one does it for me.

But, can I make a tiny suggestion? Any chance you can clone out those diffraction effects towards the right? They're distracting little flashes of pink and green. Otherwise, spectacular, as per the norm.

Regards,
Humayun

Lovely images Mike,
Like them all, love the ocean swallowing the Sun.
There is something about a beautiful Sunset over the water, with just the right amount of cloud at just the right altitude, very special.

Cheers
Trevor

Wonderful shots mate, love them all.
Beautiful rich colours and very nicely framed.
Just shows that it's not really the gear you have but the talent of the photographer that makes the shot.

The 350D is a great camera still today and performs very well indeed.

Bet Jacob had a ball too, I know my kids love taking photos and they don't care if they are using a point'n'shoot or one of the DSLR's.

These are the moments you will treasure forever Mike.

Thanks guys, appreciate your comments.

Thanks for the critique H, I don't even recall noticing them before but do see them now.

Thanks RB, it was great. Jacob loved taking his own photos and talking photography with me.
