12 inch newtonian OTA for sale, this used to be a GSO Dob, i say used to be as it has been mounted on my G11 for imaging.
about 2-3 years old , it has been modified for imaging ie 50mm mirror shift to allow DSLR imaging, with a 50mm extension in the eyepeice it can be used for normal visual.( have 50mm extension, can be thrown in at 50% retail)
the focuser mounting has been reinforced with stainless steel plating.
it comes with custom made Stainless steel rings as per picture, and the GSO 10:1 focuser.
There is NO dob base as it was thrown out, likewise the round attachments.
probably best suited for planetary imaging, as it requires a very solid mount for long exposure deep sky imaging, i used to do 360 sec exposures, but the tube thickness and the rings prevented me from consistently doing longer. if doing planetary or visual you would need an EQ6 no smaller.
As per the picture .... obvoiusly the mount and camera and other accessories dont come with it.
So .... tube, plus i will throw in an illuminated reticle finder, custom made rings as pictured $500.00 pick up only
