Medium size OTA, anything considered

Hi there

Am look for an OTA to add to my options for photography. Looking at either a reflector, a refractor, or SC etc. absolutely anything considered. only stipulation is, it must have a 2" focuser. something like a 120mm refractor, or 8"-10" reflector. must be in reasonably good nick.

thanks

not a great deal, maybe $300 - $500

I was thinking of selling my Orion ED80, and upgrading to an ED100, but its not that much of a jump to justify the expense, and TBH, with a reflector it would probably be easier on my back when viewing the camera to ...

I'll let you know how this 8" goes for me over the weekend Duncan. Pretty certain it's a GSO. So it would be in your price range.

i guess i am looking at an 8" or 10" reflector, or something like a 120mm or 150mm refractor, the shorter physically, and photgraphically, the better.

Hello. Why do you want to get rid of your 80ED? They produce great images? I bought and use a Bintel N200 reflector OTA, comes with a fan and battery carriage, 2" Crayford 11:1 focuser, was about $500, great scope! You've seen the images I have taken with it, and that's uncollimated cause I move it round so much. I thought there were a few reflectors in the Scope section still, maybe dobs you could take off the base and stick it on your GEM. Oh, any reflector is going to need a coma corrector, and possibly a larger refractor might too.
