IR/UV in front of RGB Filters

This might be a silly question, but is it usual to image LRGB with a IR/UV filter sitting in front of the chip for Lum, and Red, and Green, and Blue? Or is it not necessary to use an IR/UV for the RGB channels?

I use Meade RGB Filters and a Baader IR/UV.

Did you get a frequency response chart with your filters? That will show you the cutoff of your filters.

Interesting discussion here

Unfortunately the link they provide doesn't work.
