I made this photograph on a very cold morning at Boyd Creek, just prior to the sun rising above the mountainside.
My clothes all dirty from the boggy land surrounding this cascade, my shoes and socks wet, my fingers going numb, and snot crystallizing on my top lip... I think it was worth it -- once again, the quality of light is everything.
For all my troubles, I did, however, make a friend that morning. As I made my way down to the creek, a little bird kept following me. He posed for me and I took several shots of him, which I'll post later. He stayed with me throughout my time at the creek.

Amazing effect within a stunning landscape and a graphic description of the lengths you go to to create your masterpieces. The image of you, dirty cold and wet, losing the feeling in your fingers certainly demonstrates the lengths a true artist will go to to capture such a memorable scene.
I really do like the effect within the water fall and stream that you have created but I also am quite taken with the beauty of the setting, within which the stream is set, it conveys a most peaceful and serene ambiance.
Humayun, another beautifully created image. The eddy is truly mesmerising; you can almost feel to cool of the environment and the peace of your frozen exploits.

Thanks! With the little friend that I made on the morning, it just made the experience even more special. I only wish I had a little food or something to give the little fella. But, I think he was doing fine, finding grubs. I will post the images of him soon. I think he may have been a fantail.

Thank you so much! I took several exposures of this scene, of differing lengths, and, in each exposure, the eddy was different. I settled on this one as it I think it was the most balanced with the rest of the scene and light.
