Stellarium help please

Was wondering how to save a screen from Stellarium? Have a great morning view with the 5 planets, that I want to save, but cant do it.
Have gone into all the settings, FAQ etc , but cant find the info, but have seen others do it.
Thanks

put Stellarium into windowed mode, then do a screen capture with Print Screen, or Alt+Print Screen?

on the toolbar at the bottom, next to the red "x" for exit, is like a TV screen with arrows in the corner..

EDIT : Ok, i am looking at Stellarium now, second icon from the right, left of the time lapse controls

Hi Liz,
For Win XP and Stellarium Version 0.10.1 and above, I use Configuration (F2) menu, go to Tools, next to Screenshots then set the Directory where you want the file to be saved. Default is something like c:\Documents and Settings\.......\Desktop. I have changed to a differnt directory as it didn't seem to save to the Desktop for me.
The first screenshot will be named Stellarium-001.png --- so you need to keep a track of your shots or re-name the files at a later date.
Hope this helps.
Peter

Duncan - there is an icon for making it a smaller window (yeah .. also great), but then ... alt print ..ummmm, how do I do a screen capture? I have the alt button........ ???

Peter - yes, had found that section to save the shot onto desktop, but nothing to press to get/save the shot. Probably missing something easy??

Thanks for the superfast replies

what next .........

Liz,
A much simpler solution: Press CTRL S and a screen shot will be saved to your default folder - usually desktop. It will be called Stellarium-000.png
Additional screen shots will have progressive numbers (001, 002 etc.)
If you can't see the file on your desktop, do a search of "My Computer" looking for that file name. If not on the desktop, ou'll probably find it somewhere in "My Documents".

I never knew I could do that - have been cursing swapping between its full screen mode and other programs. Duuuh! Thanks Duncan!

Hi

Stellarium version 0.10.3 is shaping up nicely now and should be ready for release soon. It has a lot of changes to the menus and general operation and will include many new modules such as re-introduction of the usertextinterface, much improved script engine, telescope fields etc.

Most of the bugs of the earlier versions have been fixed and with a bit of luck an updated user manual for version 0.10.3 will be available that will explain the operation of the menus and configuration options.

I will have the latest information at the SPSP including a new landscape featuring the Wiruna west site. You will find me there.

Barry
