Some planetary shots

Thought seeing was reasonable last night. Took these shots with the 900nc.
Aristarchus;Pythagoras;Saturn & Venus.
Venus was taken about 20mins before sunrise this morning. Quite happy with Saturn's seeing and focus but don't know about the colour. It looks too brownish to me and I just can't bring out the colour of the bandings( should has a bit of red and green) as I could before??
Happy to get my first Venus though

Fantastic results, Vincent! You're getting better at this all the time.

Saturn is really sharp, nice job. I think you'll be starting to hit the limitations of the ToUcam when the planet is at low altitudes like Saturn is. The blue channel was really bad and hasn't helped with the aim to bring out some more colour and banding on the disc.

I've had a go but can't do much more than what I have. I've also re-aligned the colour channels on Venus which were out quite a way - to be expected when it's at low altitude so always remember to re-align them.

Great stuff!

Hi Vincent,
I think you are doing a good job with your planets images, Saturn looks good and a nice Venus. It really is trail and error with your capture and processing regime to work out what is best for each object for your equipment.

Well done
Regards
Trevor

Thanks Trevor for your encouragement. Yeh..there are so many variables in setting the exposure and again in processing. It seems I can't always reproduce the same effect. But I must say the ToUcam has served me well so far.

Thanks Mike. I have so much to learn from you guys. But I think the colour on the misaligned venus looks great though!!
I have plenty of fun with this ToUcam and I am not sick of it yet.
