First chance to try our C9.25 on smaller galaxies. M65 & M66 Unfortunately only managed 8 frames as they disappeared behind the neighbours tree

Details

Celestron C9.25 with f6.3 FR

Canon 40D unmodded

8 light and 8 dark frames each 7 min exp ... ISO800 ... temp 16deg

Darn shame about the tree as it looks like it could have done with more data. Still, with the data you've acquired, some nice details are starting to emerge. Hope you get to complete this mission and add more data soon.

Lovely detail in this one Guys. The background looks a little smooth for my liking. More data and these two would jump off the monitor and start spinning.
