No longer for sale
I purchased this telescope new in November 2008 from York Optical in Melbourne. It was my first telescope and served me well until the aperture fever set in and I upgraded to a 12". It resolves globular star clusters quite well and it showed me quite a few galaxies (Sombrero, Spindle, Hamburger, and more)
The mirror is quite good as far as I can tell from the star testing, you are more than welcome to star test it in South-Eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
I lined the tube interior with german black self-adhesive velour and it is very black now. This modification increased contrast quite significantly in my backyard with some stray light coming from street lights. You can see how black the inside of the tube is on the photographs below.
The telescope is in near-new condition. I always kept it inside the house.

- 8" Skywatcher OTA with parabolic mirror on a Dobsonian mount
