Request for info: Roll Off Sheds

G'day all,

I have a friend who's looking to build a roll off shed observatory (not roll off roof). He will use it for storing a 15" dobsonian.

I remember bits and pieces I've heard over the years suggesting this is relatively easy to do using a standard off-the-shelf flat pack garden shed with modifications. But I don't have much hard information on the topic. Google is providing some help, but limited, I think I haven't quite got the search terms right to hit the nail on the head WRT search results.

What I'm after is photo's, sketches, plans, etc of examples to show how this can be done - what modifications to make to the shed, etc.

Together he and I have some DIY capabilities but starting from scratch is a bit of a challenge.

Thanks,
Roger.

Roger,

If you look at my post on this forum I have posted some pics. Tomorrow I will post some pics of the actual shed (which was off the shelf) on wheels on the platform covering my LX200 10".

Everything can be done from Bunnings (apart from the Shed which I ordered online in NSW)

Thanks for that... I did see your post from earlier in the forum. I look forward to seeing your pictures of the actual shed, that is the kind of thing I'm needing I think.

Thanks,
Roger.
