Kilcoy Creek Bridge

No trolls under this bridge, but plenty of logs and branches getting dammed up against it. We had 5" of rain in 24hrs.
Admittedly it's nothing to compared to what the people on the Sunshine Coast have had to put up with.
This is the only road out of town leading to Brisbane. Thankfully it happened today and not Monday when the thousands of campers from Lake Somerset were leaving.

Seems nowadays that when it does finally rain...it pours.

That 4WD in the last pic may be the bain of urban streets but I bet he feels a bit more secure when the water starts rising.

Trapped in a town surrounded by thousands of campers...yikes!
Didn't they make an 80's horror movie based on that premise?

No sorry that's zombies not campers, so easy to get those two confused.

Nice shots Jeanette. I drove back from the Sunshine Coast yesterday morning, and there were several places near the Glasshouse Mountains where the water was almost running over the Bruce Highway. It's the most water I've ever seen along that stretch of road.

Cheers,
Stephen
