Dark Matters Astronomy Podcast Episode #1 released

Hi Everyone,

I've just released the Dark Matters #1 podcast.

If anyone is interested, you can find it at http://astronomy.podcastformat.com/darkmatters

Feedback would be apprecaited.

Mike, I'm not sure what forum this post should go in - is this the right place?

Russell.

Russell I enjoy it very much.
I even have it playing in the background while I surf IIS.
The sound quality is much better in this episode (#1 episode) than from the original pre-view episode.

Well done.

Thanks for the feedback Rocket Boy. What exactly did you notice about the sound? I'm still not that happy with it, and while I did a few more tweaks than the first, I didn't think it'd be noticably different. Alice also said she thought there was a tinny sound, that wasn't in the preview.

So if you can help me identify specifics about what needs tweaking, that'd be a great help.

In the pilot episode the sound would clip alot on my computer and it showed on the level meter in the red section.
This Episode (#1) the sound was- well perfect.

Once again I really enjoy listening, keep up the great work Russell.

Ahh right, yeah I did more work on the levels this time, and trying to equalise the sounds better. Still lots to learn though.

Time is getting away from me this weekend, so episode 2 will probably be a short one. I'm aiming for weekly, but RL commitments mean I'm still experimenting with trying to do regular quality shows, rather than throwing out junk just to fit a schedule.

I'm hoping to start some collaborative stuff soon with AstronomyAGoGo, to add variety as well.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
