Leo Triplet

Imaged at Clayton on Saturday night. Managed to get 4 subs prior to it hitting the meridian...

4x 30min lights at ISO800 with 400D and ED120, stacked in DSS and processed in PS.

Thanks for looking.

Nicely done. I assume with 30min subs that's a cooled Astro 400D?

Hi Craig, the camera is not cooled or modded. So, I am quite happy with how it performs. I forgot to mention in the opening post that I did subtract 4x30min darks which I did prior to Saturday night.

Cheers.

Well done Daniel,

heaps of structure in these galaxies, interesting to see what 30 min subs from a DSLR look like, looks smooth with no obvious noise from the long subs.

Top stuff
Regards
Trevor
