Question Alcohol Gas Cloud

Does anyone remember the cloud of Alcohol Gas that was found a couple of years back now? I was wondering if anyone coulld enlighten me about the cloud's creaation itself. As far as I new it takes bacteria such as yeast to secrete alcohol. Does this mean there is or was a Bacterial lifeform out there which secreted the alcohol and enough bacteria to create such a large amount of gas? I don't mean to seem ignorant or anything but not to ask would be more stupid than asking. We can only learn by enquiring after all. I have tried to research it, but as it was awhile ago I can only find informtion related to it existance only. If anyone can illucidate me I would appreciate it.

Hi Steven,

Vinyl Alcohol molecules were discovered with the 12 metre Kitt Peak Telescope in 2001

As yet there seems to be no viable explanation as to how such complex molecules could have formed.

Regards
Trevor
