Looks like I now own a tractor!
Friends of mine are selling their property, and promised I could buy their tractor when they sold, and now they have! It's an old IH 434 diesel, but it runs really well and comes with a slasher, carry all, ripper, 3PL bucket, and grader blade. Woohoo... new toys! ... for daytime!
I pick it up this weekend.

Sounds like fun Al, all you need now is a big sandpit. Of course we'll need photographic evidence.

We are getting about 70 cubic metres of sand delivered here in the next few weeks for a little project we are working on.....yes it IS a really big sandpit.
Of course depends on lots of this and not too much .
Good for you Al, sounds GREAT. Would love a tractor with the extras you are getting...the slasher, bucket and blade would save us buckets.

Honest old tractor Al not to much goes wrong with them.
A glow plug failure (sketchy memory here ) can make em a little hard to start on a cold morn .. and its an easy fix.. well worth having around

Now you just need a scope big enough to justify the tractor.

Ah... evidence that the world is normal! Murphy's Law I see has played out very subtly here - the untrained observer would miss it .
My observatory is already built. Timing is everything!

I'd love an old tractor at my place ... loads of rocks etc that could do with piling up out of the way so then I could get a ride on mower ... I'm getting rid of the sheep tomorrow ... cute but a waste of space and money really ... and I don't want pets to tie me down ( speaking metaphorically ).
Have fun with the new machine Al !

Great fun
I have an old fergie 35 with a slasher. It doesn't get used much but is great fun to ride around the paddock and get covered with cut grass.
