First ever DSLR Image - Orion

Thought I would post my very first DSLR attempt taken the other night. 10 x 60sec on a Canon 350d (not modified) through the ED80, guided LX200 10" DSI. Did some post processing in PS CS2. Looking forward to taking possesion of my new wedge so I can take longer subs!

OK , that was worth the wait. Nice very 1st try. Your going to urgently need to learn PS layers tho, and do some blended longer subs with the newly learned layer skills............... Im being tough, really, its good.

Nice one Paul - you've got a wee bit of horizontal banding noise throughout the image. Perhaps try a different iso setting to see if you can lose it?
Great first go - onwards and upwards from here!

Thanks for the encouragement Fred, Doug, and Peter. Fred, yep you are spot on, need to learn more about PS (I used NC tools to process this - but agree that an understanding of the concepts behind the automated tools would be better).

Paul, a great start, much much better than my first attempt.
Keep at it and once you get the wedge it will make all the difference.
