This is the first phase total of 3 hours ISO 1600 @ 3minutes 20 darks 20 flats 20 bias this needs a few more hours but will have to wait for the sky to clear up
C11 @6.3
Canon 40D
Losmandy G11 Gemini Guided with PHD using DSI Pro II and Celestron 80mm short tube

Yes that's a lovely image there Les of this impossible for me to get galaxy.
Only rises around 10degs for me.
colour and processing looks very good also...

Would love to see the finished version in full res ??

Look forward to the end product.

Nice smooth galaxy shot Les ... bit low in the sky for me too unless I take the north side wall off my observatory maybe I'll get a dome one day with views to the horizon.

Thanks Guys, its in a nice postion in the sky for me but the weather is not doing to good Hopefully will be able to add to it someday I like the way its turning out
