What a beautiful morning!

Had a beautiful morning outside this morning.

Saw the ISS (though only for 15 seconds), the lovely crescent Moon, Jupiter and even Mars just above the treetops.

Seeing was quite good for Jupiter and saw my first moon transit for the season as Io and its shadow were transiting. It's quite easy to see this year since the moons will transit in the whiter EQ zone, rather than the NEB like last year.

Lots more data to process but have just come inside and now have to warm up!

Almost missed it too - set the alarm for 4:36am but we had a short blackout overnight so the alarm didn't go off. Luckily I woke at 4:40am because Abbey was next to me so I had to put her back in her own bed. Thanks Abbey!

Hi Mike,

they are great little alarm clocks
My daughter still hops in with us, and even thought it's nice when they
cuddle in, I usually can't get back to sleep....so most times I get up
and image.

Looking forward to seeing your results!

Steve

I rely on a battery powered alarm clock. Inconvenient power outages are too common to rely on mains.

Glad to hear of the great morning, Mike.

Must watch some shadow transits this year then if they will be more visible. thanks.
