Widefield Tarantula

Well after 3 months I finally managed to get back out with the scope. Its a poor effort but here is my 1st NGC 2070 taken with the Starshoot Pro. Lots of equipment problems meant I ended up with poor alignment and tracking so the stars are eggy but its an image after all.

Starshoot Pro on the ED80 with 2inch Astronomik CLS filter
9x300sec
Processed in CCDStack and CS3

Let me know what you think

lovely wide field! colour and detail looks good, Isnt it a shame when technical difficulties rear their heads Mind you considering your troubles, the eggy stars are fairly minimal really... could be fixed in photoshop if you felt that way inclined...

I like it as is.. And as you said, in spite of everything else, you got a nice image... thats what matters!

Alex.

Thanks guys. I tend to leave the colour pretty much as it comes out (and I look at other peoples work to make sure its reasonable). Good to be getting back into the fray
