I Robot

When your'e bored, you can do some crazy stuff!

Oh well, a weekend of fun, wood and bolts...

I am walking around in it around the shed and am nearly ready to power it. Prototyping is the best part. Once the rough and ready construction is finished, then its on to aesthetics/ergonomics.

Go away bright moon...

Baz.

LOL! Too good Barry. What fun!

What articulation do they give you? I have a keen interest in robotics, as my art teacher in Japan (when I was living there in the 70's) was an Australian called Stelarc (his one and only name) and his mission was to eventually replace his body with robotics. Whacky but brilliant...

I hope it's going to have full flight capability and an escape mode the same as Ironman's...

I guess I'll ask again. Are they articulated - because they just look like static stilts?

Sorry Chris, yes they are mate, Hip, knee, ankle and balancing full toe. I have built each joint so that as I am free to move around (all be it a little clunky at first) once the whole thing is together, then I attatch the actuators on the points of mechanical advantage. This will enhance strength but not speed.
