A quick Pillars of Creation before work

Hi,

I've been dying to try my setup on M16 and
got a chance this morning but seeing was only
average.
Not a big frame count so I couldn't get away with more severe
sharpening.

Promising though.....

EDIT: Apr 01 image added here too for comparison

Hi Steve,
looks like your gear is working well together...
Nice up close fov... excellent.

This is a very faint object and you've done a great job of it with only 5 sec sub exposures....
I would be pushing your gear further however and try for at least 30- 60sec exposures unguided.
Pushing data with only such short subs makes life hard, deeper subs make your life much easier processing wise.

I guess it all depends on your mount and how well it tracks though.

Still your out there and producing some good images.
Keep it up.

all the best
Rich

Really inspiring work here! 5 sec at that close range is good going. Might try it myself (but I might push it to 30 sec and compare!)

Steve, if I was wearing a hat I would take it off in deference to this truly great image.

That you can produce stuff like this with such short subs speaks volumes for your absolute determination to get the best out of the gear you have.

Well done
Cheers
Trevor

2nd attempt Apr 01 better seeing

Hi,

another go this morning, more frames and seeing improved
about 4am.

This effort survives the more severe sharpening better.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments!
