starry night&rs232-usb

well ive finily bought starry night pro to use in my pod and set up on scope while i was away lst week at surfers paradise went to star optics talking to lex in regards to 232-usb could he help bought other cables didnt work(hi have vista)every body was saying keyspan so i asked if he sold them answer no"i have a meade 232tousb didnt know meade sold one so i bought it and no probs set my comm port easily so if any body else has this prob with vista try that cable.came home after a nice little holiday went to load starry night didnt load after several goes searched ice in space for answers .( set to xp )well loaded straight away and what a program just starting out with it but it looks like a cracker .next item is to guide with scope will do this over the next week or so.i should then be finally all set up

Peter,

Did you get the Pro Plus version or just Pro? If Pro Plus, be sure to turn the All Sky Image on. It takes a little while for my poor four year old notebook to load, but, it's gorgeous. I use Starry Night Pro Plus with its equipment list and fields of view, for all my planning, composition, framing, etc. It's an excellent piece of software.

yes humayun i got pro plus and have turned on all sky image im still in the early stages using instructions and doing step by step taking time doing properly take all the advantages of the program
