Need a dob mount for large scope

Hi, I have a large telescope, over 6 feet tall, about a foot and a half across.

It's unusable as I don't have a mount - to see jupiter for example I have to rest it against my backyard table and try to line it up bit by bit for hours until I fluke it and get a viewing.

Does anyone know of a good engineer who would build a dob mount for a reasonable cost?

Thanks
Ben.

Do you have access to power tools?

Dob mounts are not difficult to construct, that's why they're popular.

There are plenty of books on makeing dobs, one inexpensive one is "Making and enjoying telescopes" available through Amazon, second hand.

This book details a mount which may suit yours. Just modify the dimensions as needed.

Otherwise, look up a local Astronomy Club. There will be no lacking of brains and help within those walls!
