24th February Titan Transit

Hi all,

Just thought I'd share this image of the Titan transit on 24th February.

Conditions were very bad in Brisbane but I did manage to capture some AVIs. I've been trying to process the RGB individually but the blue channel is just too bad

This is a colour stack of an AVI recorded at 10:51pm AEST.

I used a C8 with 2x barlow and star diagonal as extension giving about 7000mm focal length.
SPC900NC webcam.
Best 1000 of about 2000 frames stacked and processed in Registax 4.

I like the colours

Just about everyone else is rendering Saturn with greenish hues lately and to me that just looks so wrong!

Excellent image, Doug! Well captured indeed.

You could set the blue levels on the background and it would look even better.

The seeing makes a great deal of difference to images of Saturn, if your seeing was below par then these are a really great result.
