12 Inch Dob With Argo Navis

SOLD SOLD SOLD SOLD

Selling due to the usual aperture fever upgrade. This Southern Cross Dobsonian which I believe is a rebranded GSO (Guan Sheng Optical) has a Pyrex 12 inch mirror and is fitted with an Argo Navis Digital Telescope Computer system, the Optical Encoders are US Digital S2-2048-NT. The Dobsonian mount has upgraded bearings so it’s smooth to operate. The tube is fitted with a Saxon Red Dot Finder and an 8x50 Optical Finderscope. Overall condition is very good, the mirror is excellent, the tube has a few very minor dints, everything is working. Selling for way less than half price.
$1200.00 LOCAL PICK UP ONLY.
WILL CONSIDER SWAPPING FOR A QUALITY REFRACTOR OR ANYTHING INTERESTING I CAN PLAY WITH.

FEATURES:

· 12 Inch Pyrex Mirror.
· Argo Navis Digital Telescope Computer System. 2 star alignment and its ready to find thousands of objects.
· Argo Navis User Manual 164 Pages.
· Saxon Red Dot Finder
· 8x50 Optical Finderscope
· Crayford 2 inch Focuser and reducing adapter.

EYEPIECES

· 5mm Wide Angle
· Plossl 9mm
· Meade 17.5mm
· Collimating Eyepiece

It seems there is more interest in my selling this unit split up, so a 12 inch Dob new from Andrews is $1299.00 and an Argo Navis to fit a Dob is over $1200, I am selling both together for less than half price. So if anyone wants either, the price for the Argo Navis with the Encoders, and they are the larger 2.2 inch Optical Shaft Encoders, High Resolution 10,000 step. The price is $650.00 plus postage and the price for the 12 inch Dob is $650.00 or both together for $1200.00

I have to say I am amazed this has not sold yet.

6 weeks ago before I bought my Argo I'd have jumped all over it.

It really is an amazing price...

Sold

Hi Ubique, I took out the dob and on the first night managed to get a great view of Saturn and several deep sky objects. Very happy with the set up. Cheers!

I am pleased you like it, it is a good setup and works well. The Argo makes it easay to find things once you get used to it.
