there is a local who at the advice of the CFA cut down some scrub , council took him to court 50,000 dollars and then some more money later he lost and was convicted. Guess whos building survived when those near him didnt. he was on the radio today.

Oh, yes, I think that was the one I saw on tv - he removed about 250 trees from some large area around his house ?
The story that I saw was not very comprehensive, though - it was unclear why he ever wanted to live in a bush setting at all.
