For sale: Fujinon AR 7x50 Binoculars - $80 ONO - SOLD
I want to say up front that these binoculars have obviously been well used and I want to give a fair description. Externally - there is some paint loss on the hinge, the tripod hole cover is missing, there are no caps, markings on the backplate are missing, the rubber is intact but feels a little "unstuck" in parts (mainly under hand holding positions, but it's not coming off). Lenses - the right lens has a small scratch of around 4mm off centre which does not appear to affect the view and there are very, very fine scratches from cleaning. Eyepieces - fine. Coatings - intact. Age - I bought these a couple of years ago secondhand, they look to be 10 years or so old, certainly not the current model. Internally, they are very clean.
Despite all that, the views are very good - they are not up to FMT-SX standard, but are better than 7x50s such as the current crop of low-mid range (Pentax, Nikon, etc) porros. The views are very sharp and contrasty on axis with some degradation starting at around 80%.
I've recently bought a substantially better 7x50 and these are just not being used. Happy to discuss.
