Stellarium Time

Hi All
I have stellarium loaded and an synscan EQ6 While I can control scope with program it never points correctly to where I want it to go, I have my longitude , latitude and time programmed in correctly, but it seems the when it is dark outside say 2130 ,stellarium still shows it as daylight. Do I need to change anything in the config file to get it pointing correctly
thanks Kepp

Hi

Stellarium must first be set to your current location to get the local time zone latitude and longitude. This can be done from the location setting on the menu. It then sets the view to the current time according to the time from the computer clock.

Check that this has been done and that your computer clock shows the correct local time.

Hi

Your computer is set to pacific standard time. This is the Windows default and is for California.

Open up control panel. date time and set time zone to (GMT +10:0) Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney and tick automatic daylight saving

Then set Date time to current date and time.

That should fix it
