where did the money go?

I have such a problem when there is only $200 in the pocket but these sums one hears about in orders of trillions, that seem to have vanished strikes me as strange.

That fella who ran up a loss of $4o billion did he have such a problem..just spent a little over the top maybe. I mean after you buy a couple of palaces and a fleet of boats, cars and planes would there not be some change? would there be no assetts that one could seize to pay something in the dollar?

Does anyone know an answer? is the answer unmentionable? is there a conspiracy everyone understands but me and he was actually doing good work???....it seems strange that the money is apparently gone and unable to be recovered.

So rather than try to work out where the money went put forward how could you spend $40 billion and have zip to show for it???

That's a very good question Alex, I suspect the money didn't really go anywhere, because in reality it didn't even exist. An ex airline pilot wrote a book on money and banks decades ago (I can't recall the title), and asked the same sort of questions. The money people have "lost" in this financial crash was merely funny money, strokes of pen on paper, ones and zeros, the value of shares mainly, the physical assets are all still there, often hidden in family trusts and other companies. We have a rediculous financial system, controlled and fuelled by greed and dishonesty, until that changes, money will continue to evaporate overnight in crashes similar to this last one.

You couldn't spend that much money and have nothing to show for it, unless you gave away ridiculous amounts to charity and such. The only way you could spend that much or more and have nothing to show for it is if it was done done by a government....and that happens regularly. Just in the last 3 or 4 years, the DoD in the good ol' US has apparently "misplaced" $2.3 trillion (!!!!!!!!), and can't account for it.

You can guess where it's going....black projects. With that much money being "spent" there, they should be able to come up with anything!!!.

That $40 billion was real I thought in so far as folk put money with that chap...and I guess in that regard it must have been "real"... but I dont know really...did folk put in $1,000,000 and he told them it became $5,000,000 and they think they lost $5,000,000 ,,...but my point is there must have been some real money in that $40 billion figure one would think.

I think Chinas approach with officials is the way to go...look at how they managed the food problem recently..the boss got the bullet...literally ... I feel such an approach may see the new boss keeping and eye on the ball somehow... and those fellas who put poison in the milk to raise the potein reading... their fate is clear.

Anyways I am not worried I have not lost a cent in any fund ...I dont believe anyone cares for my money the way I do therefore I look after it personally...all $2500 of it I bet I track a single dollar better then some track millions

People need to be held accountable, too much money is wasted by Govt just to buy votes. The PS is top heavy, senior managment not interested in cost cutting or inforcing policy to the letter or writing policies that are not full of loopholes, Lie just to cover their asses and make themselves out to be important and empire build.

I agree with China's approach as well.

In the main it's only money people thought they had (on paper or in cyberspace in accounts somewhere).

It's only real money if they cash it in.

Don't feel sorry for the victims of the fraud (and it was just that) at all, these people all took big risks and lost , and most of them were and still are filfy rich.

Fools and their money ....
