EQ6 saddle clamp to Losmandy saddle?

Hi all,

I have always unliked how unstable the EQ6 saddle clamp is when holding quite small load (C8 + Guidescope + Camera). I'm looking into upgrading both my C8's dovetail plate to a losmandy D plate and upgrading the EQ6's saddle clamp to a Losmandy D saddle. That will hopefully give the stability I want and also be perfect for a larger load (when I upgrade ).

I'm hoping someone can help me out here and give me some advice on exactly what I need and if this is the best option.

I've done this mod. I used and can highly recommend the ADM replacement saddle. It replaces the Vixen style saddle on the EQ-6 with a Losmandy style saddle and takes about a minute to install:

This mod gave a considerable improvement in stability.

I use the ADM dovetail clamp too, and it's great. Really improved the safety and stability of the EQ6. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the help. The ADM saddle looks great and knowing that ADM makes very high quality products. I am sold.

I have the D saddle on my EQ6 now too Matt... you dont like the C8 + guidescope hanging off a vixen bar... imagine it with a C11 !!

Scares the bejeezus out of me!!

The problem for me at the moment, Is Im trying to get some more ADM gear, and cant seem to get emails to go through to Anthony...

If you can get emails to him, would you mind forwarding an email on my behalf? I need quite a few things off him at the moment!!
