? error in article

Geoff Smith's article on drift alignment for beginner is easy to understand however every time I follow it to drift align my refractor (with star diagonal) I got confused. Recently I sit down & try to work out why then I realised there might be an error in one of the diagram.
The second diagram regarding how E,W,N,S should appears in the eyepiece should be the other way round. I mean the one on the left applys to EVEN number of mirrors and the one on the right should be for ODD number of mirrors.
Am I correct?
Cheers
Vincent
