Thumbs down Another day, another thunderstorm

Well...you know what they say about Queensland

I was hoping to get some Venus imaging done tonight with the new UV filter with the DMK and C9.25...with a few 40D Jupiter/Mercury conjunction pics thrown in for the heck of it.

But...as with every afternoon of my Christmas break...the weather has conspired against me

It's 4.24pm local time. Perhaps it will clear by 6.30???

Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

PS - Yes....I know....it's the 'wet' season, and tiz to be expected, etc etc etc

From the TV news tonight it looks like it is going to be scorching, 34º or similar. How do you cope with that??

It'll dammed hot and very dry on the other side of the mountains if he decides to follow the advise given.

If he heads up the coast it'll be dammed hot and very very very sticky.

Hope his car has a good airconditioner in it. He'll need it.

Been sunny and toasty , not a lot of wind here , all day .... been inside with the aircon on all day, boss woman wanted help with her blog.

Might mozey into the harbour with some squidys and my big stick tonight and maybe see if the jewy are on the bite .... is new moon and HT about midnight so will be nice near the water (at Stockton , too many yobboes on Newcastle side in the early evening , this close to NYE the carpark is probably closed to traffic).

Have already set the scope up and am ready to go!!!!

Hopefully the wind will die down and the seeing will co-operate...but there's a front passing through which might shake things up a bit.

We'll see
