M33 with new data

I all!

I have finally got around processing M33 that I shot at our Area 51 dark sky site here in South Florida!

I only used the data I gathered on November 28th for this one, since I forgot to rotate the camera around and the crop I get from combining the two stacks (Nov 28th and Nov 20th) is horrible!

This is 39 minutes, 2m subs @ ISO 1600
Pentax 105 SDHF
EM200 unguided
Canon 40D - no darks, no flats, no bias

I'm not sure why I do not get colors on the emission nebulae in the arms! Is it because my Canon 40D is not sensitive to that wavelength?\\

Dude.. I need that scope!

M33 looks fantastic! The reason you dont pick up the nebulae in the arms is because your 40D is not very sensitive to the Ha spectrum.. If you end up getting your camera modified, that will be a different story!

You're definitely taking some stunning images Emanuele, You should be very happy.

Thanks Alex..!! Really appreciate!

Well, I'll tell you what: my 125SDP should be here tomorrow! The 105 SDHF will be yours if you want! I just need some time to make sure that everything is in order with the 125!

That's one of the best M33's I have seen.

Great detail and very very smooth!

Fantastic Emanuele. Simply stunning image. That 105 is doing you proud - a very nice instrument. Good luck and even better shots with your new one!

Thank you very much Chris! Maybe I should bump up the saturation on this one, a little!

New data has added greater depth, however feel it needs some more colour saturation. M33 has some stunning HII regions that really make this galaxy special. Perhaps a reprocess would do the trick. Keep up the good work.
