How is your afternoon?

Hi everyone!

Beautiful sunny, still and warm afternoon here in Bacchus Marsh - ready for a Full Moon evening!

How about where you are!

Some work to get done, then I hope to get back to the search for suitable close observing sites for when I haven't got the time to drive the hour to Snake Valley Astro Club site. The usual approach - driving up side roads and driveways!

Smiles
Eric

Hi Eric.

A little overcast and very muggy here in Brisbane.

Am tinkering with the 40D, checking out more of its features and testing a few things.

I bought a Hoya circular polarising filter yesterday and a few other bits and pieces.

Got the tennis on in the background and am contemplating a chilled frothie....just to enhance the relaxation

An absolutely beautiful day here in Sydney (as usual!) hardly a cloud in sight, so it must be full moon time.......
The missus is painting the window frames in the loungeroom, while I lie in bed (no, not a chauvanist pig, just temporarily need to keep horizontal) browsing the forums and plan ripping the guts out of the GSO 12" and building a truss tube lighter weight machine.

Cheers,
Jason.

Beautiful afternoon here in Lonny, a balmy 24 outside after a cloudy smoky start to the day. I have mown the Lawn, whipper snippered and fed and watered some trees, very satisfying.

I have to agree with Jason, it seems that the weather always clears around full moon.

Spent the day pottering around the farm and doing a few little jobs that needed attending to. The clouds are starting to roll in and it looks like a big storm might be brewing.

Might have to open a bottle of red and watch some of natures fireworks.

Cheers

Forecast looks good at this stage, I've got my fingers crossed aswell, eager to do some galaxy hunting already!

But ofcourse, being southern Victoria, the official home of year round cloud, cold and gloom, forecasts that far out are to be taken with a grain of salt.

It's overcast over my way.
Went DVD shopping this afternoon and bought the complete boxed set of "The Comic Strip Presents....".
That should keep my nights occupied this week.

26 here and scattered cloud. Not that it makes much difference, gear is all packed in storage ready for the move back to WA.
Had a nice peaceful Sunday, watched a movie, wandered down the RSL for a chat, beer and feed, now looking for another one to watch.

Nice blue sky here typical with a full moon, though a bit of a breeze.
So I'll be watching the cricket. Maybe some lunar imaging afterwards.

Cheers Daniel.
