Identifying Your Scope

Let's say your scope was stolen, then recovered. Would you be able to make positive identification?
My 10" Dob had "tatoos" drawn on it with ink, so it was easy to differentiate it from the hundreds of other dobs on the field at star parties. But they would have been easy enough to clean off.
My new scope, I thought of engraving my name of the tube of the focuser.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Datadot, you can buy it in a spray can, it's basically invisible except under a microscope, there are unique ID numbers embedded in the spray. If you have a local neighbourhood watch you may be able to purchase a can at a discounted rate. One can will do everyting you own plus more.
