Bishop Chris Toohey on ABC Compass Sunday night

Did anyone else see the excellent 30 minute doco piece on Bishop Chris Toohey on ABC Compass last night. A really well done piece showing his life and how the seeds of his love of astronomy and nature were sown and his great and challenging work now as ordained head of a drought ridden diocese bigger than France. There was some nice footage of him observing Saturn in his observatory through his Starfire refractor too. He apparently does a great job sharing his love of the stars as well as his religion. I met him years ago when I worked at Astro Optical Supplies and hes certainly still as down to earth now as he was then.

Very interesting programme and what a setup he has, dark skies, observatory, AP Starfire and a case of Televue eyepieces.
Compass is being repeated on ABC2 Friday 21st at 6pm.

Steve.
