I need assistance. How deep are your 2" filters

G'day everyone.

I am currently looking at getting a 2" filter wheel made... My lumicon 2" filters are 5mm deep, but The last thing I want is to have it made to fit lumicon filters, only to have it not fit baader or astronomik filters...

So please, If you could measure the depth of your 2" filters for me, that would be fantastic...

Cheers guys.

Alex.

From where to where, Alex? From top to bottom of thread, or from top to shoulder at top of thread?

My Hutech filters are 7.00mm and the Astronomik are 8mm but I machined them down to fit in the 300mm lens. At a guess they were about ten.

Cheers Bert.. at the moment it looks like 10mm is about the standard.. (the Lumicon ones must be low profile at only 5mm)

I bought an AE 5 position manual filter wheel and found the AstroDon and the Baader filters I have wouldn't fit!! They are wider than many of the others. Ended up re-building the unit ( added 1.5mm spacers) to allow them to be used.
Also the Van Slyke 2" filter holder was too small for the Baader/ AstroDon filters.......
