Venus and Jupiter 1 september 2005 Lake Macquarie

took these tonight at Warners Bay on Lake MacQuarie NSW with my poor little Pentax *istDS

thanks, in early twilight i actually got 3 moons of jupiter as well

Nice shots Dave, I like the third one the best ,the stars are round and I can see some colour . I bet your hanging out to get your EQ6 mount humming !

Currently it is being deburred, regreased and fixed up mechanically, then I get it!! the skyscan will be the next item!!! I intend to mount the camera on one side and a guidescope the other (the skyscan has a autoguider port)

Yes It will be good to see you in action Dave.... ED80 for a guide scope ?whats your plans for an auto-guider ?

I don't know Louie, I do have a DSI (never used ) and a LPI, maybe I might have to see if there is something around to use that to guide with? or I get an old meade or SBIG autoguider? I would like to use what I have first though!

tonights effort (2/9/2005). noticve how far venus has moved with respect to Jupiter (using the star to the right of Jupiter as a reference)
