NGC 4536 Spiral Galaxy

Hi All,

I captured this one at the South pacific Star Party in May this year.
I have only just got around to processing it and pleased with the result.
Surface brightness is only 13.8 magnitude.

I could not identify the NGC number initially because I failed to make note of it during capture, rather embaressing. I suspected it was in the NGC 4000 range and upon searching various sites identified it as NGC 4536.

A bit of an oddball warped shape in the star forming blue spiral arms.

Image capture details are noted below the image.

Gerry

A nice find Gerry. I like the peculiar spiral arms on this target. Would be an interesting target for a longer focal length. Well done.

Nice capture Gerry, I've noted this one for imaging.

The shape of the arms definitely make it an interesting target.

Gerry,

Nice one. Earmarked that for when I have a larger telescope.

Regards,
