Ha plus DSLR

Has anyone tried adding Ha data to DSLR data?

I have a Ha filter in the mail I hope, and was hoping to combine it's images with DSLR images to get a result. I'm thinking you can split the DSLR image into R,G,B and use the Ha channel as you would with a ccd.

Robin,
I am the least qualified here when it comes to processing, but have added a splash of Ha to an RGB, and called it the "L", so it is an Ha/RGB?
Mine is not exactly a DSLR but is close (QHY8).
Give it a go, can't hurt.

Cheers Gary, thats what I'm looking to do.
I'll google some guides on how to do it.

Hi Robin,
thought a few others would have jumped in as well. From memory I used the Ha as the "L" channel, using Maxim to combine the RGB and Ha.

IISAC camp is this week-end, a lot of people will be there. Had a fiddle with maxim last night and can split the RGB image easy. Also found this in my favourites from last time I looked into it. Just need the filter and some fine weather to check it out

Cool, then you are onto it. The Gendler essay was one of my starting points as well IIRC.
Just give it a go, it isn't as difficult as you would imagine.
