Moon and Venus tonight, 31 Oct

Hi All,

Nice clear skies this evening, and a possible storm forecast for tomorrow, so I decided to take the opportunity to grab few shots. The first shows a young Moon and Venus (with Antares in the middle), and the second is wider angle and includes Jupiter as well, plus a plane that happened to fly past during the exposure!

The Moon and Venus will be closer tomorrow, so look out for them if the evening is clear!

Cheers,
Stephen

Thanks Jen.

I forgot to give the details. The camera is a Pentax K100D digital SLR. The first image was a 6 sec exposure with a 70-300mm lens set on 93mm, while the second was a 70 sec exposure with an 18-50mm lens set on 23mm. Both were at f/4.5 and 200 iso.

Cheers,
Stephen
