M42 Luminosity mosaic

Hi ,

Attached is a 3 frame mosaic I made on the 11th Oct.
Luminosity only.
3/4 Moon was just setting at 3am local time and didn't
seem to affect the contrast too much.
This nebula just seems to go on forever at this image scale
I think I would need about a 4x4 mosaic of images to cover
it all!

regards,
Steve B.

Nice work so far Steve.

I would love to see a full mosaic of this area.

Nice one.

At the joints try selecting a thin strip around the joint line in your processing software, feather the resulting strip/rectangle and then blur it slightly (median:1) to reduce the visibility of the joint.
