Sculptor NGC 253

Hello everyone,
here's a shot of NGC 253.
I am not very happy with it, especially the weird colors compared to the shot i posted in June with the same gear but here it is anyways.

C14 with 6.3 reducer,
on G11
Canon EOS 20Da
4X10 min, 2X8, 3X5 min at ISO 800

it can serve as an example of what not to do
I have NO idea what happened to the colors!
Off to bed to cry myself to sleep wishing for those processing skills (kidding...just)

Hi Frank,

I like the second image. The 14" really resolves the detail nicely, with good image size.

The first image is still good, eccept for the colour. Quite often I have to go back to my images and redo them, either over processed or colour is off.

Well done.

Not bad Frank nice work!, actually I find the first image more pleasing, just needs a bit of a tweak with color balance.

I agree with Gary, just needs a tweak on colour balance and to pull the black point up a little on the histogram.

Very nice Frank. The C14 has really resolved some fine detail in the Galaxy.

I actually don't mind the colour too much but I think it could do with a tweak to make it that much better.

Nice work.

I like the second image. Great detail. I've just posted one of the same object though yours is better. Saw the APOD. enough to make you weep.
