Europa Transit

Well, we made it through the worst hurricane to hit Houston in many years and finally had a chance to image again. The night promised to be a little better than it was but any imaging is good imaging. I was treated to a Europa Transit in my limited viewing window. The GRS was just about coming into view but Jupiter was already sinking. This is probably the last weekend that I can image Jupiter at its high point so enjoy...

Very nice Dave,
Glad you survived the Hurricane, there has been some shocking ones around you lately.

Nice pic of Europa, some detail on the moon and the Planet's disk looks great too!

Thanks for posting.

Cheers

Chris

Excellent image Dave. Haven't seen many new Jupiter images lately.

Nice colours and detail.

Very well done.

Cool shot, I saw Io's transit through the scope last night from a special viewing night I did for a "Healing Camp" with the Indiginous people here in NE Arnhemland.
The Astronomy adds a great aspect to the experience for the participants.
It was especially good to be able to show them the transit of Io !
