Astronomik - CLS Light Pollution Filter - 1.25" $99

Hi

For sale. My Astronomik CLS (1.25") that was just bought recently. Used once, practically brand new.

Here's a full quote:
  • The Astronomik CLS is considered the highest quality light pollution filter on the market today.
  • This CLS filter is mounted in a 1.25" cell.
  • Nearly 100% transmission between 450nm and 530nm.
  • The Astronomik CLS shows more stars and detail in nebulae.
  • The multi-layered coatings on all Astronomik filters protect amazingly well against scratching, aging, and humidity.
The Astronomik CLS is a light pollution solution for visual deep-sky observation, black & white photography, and CCD imaging. The Astronomik CLS filter is the right filter to increase the contrast of nearly all objects under light-polluted skies with all sizes of telescopes. The transmission curve shows a reduction in the sky background of gas & planetary nebulas as well as open clusters, globular clusters and galaxies. The Astronomik CLS blocks the emission of Hg and Na streetlights as well as all skyglow lines. All major emission lines from deep-sky objects are passed without suppression. The transmission chart shows that the most important part of the eye´s night-sensitive region is passed with maximum transmission.

The filter is optimised for use with focal ratios of 1:4 to 1:15, and shows you more stars and more details in the nebulas. Because of the high quality of the glass you will see same pinpoint stars you receive when you use your telescope without a filter!

The Astronomik CLS can be used with instruments of all sizes. Even binocular views will be improved with the addition of a CLS filter.
  • High transmission of nearly 100% between 450nm and 530nm
  • Transmission of ca 96% at H-alpha
  • Total blocking of all unwanted light pollution
  • The ideal all-round filter for deep-sky observing, even with small scopes
  • Highest optical quality on the market
  • Insensitive to high humidity, scratches and aging
Asking for $99 plus postage. Local pick-up is welcome (Sydney's southern suburbs).

Forgive my ignorance, but do these help with moonlight "pollution" also?

Cheers

Hi,
Just a quick question - are they ok for CCD use? That is, do they allow imaging?

Do these shift colours horribily or are these pretty decent at preserving your colour spectrum in passed light?
